The Centre: Oasis
Camel Centre welcomes visitors with Special Needs, together with
their helpers or carers, and we actively seek to promote and provide
equal opportunity for all who visit us. We would wish to encourage
everyone to fully enjoy the range of facilities and entertainment
available. We have made every effort to ensure that the Farm is fully
accessible for all and welcome constructive advice as to how we can
improve our services. We recognize that there are many and varied
specific needs and requirements and our staff are experienced in
giving assistance to all. Some of the provisions we offer are listed
below and for other particular needs, such as learning difficulties,
partial sightedness or hearing and others our staff will offer advice
and support.
General
Access: All
of our doorways are designed to enable space for wheel chair users.
The paths around the farm are designed to be accessible for
wheelchair users however please be aware that the majority of the
paths are laid to grass in keeping with farm environment.
Consequently this means that they can be a little slippery and more
difficult to negotiate in wet weather.
Toilets: We
provide fully equipped disabled toilets with safety alarms.
Parking: We
provide disabled parking spaces at the entrance of the farm. There is
also a hard standing car park area a short distance from the
entrance.
Cafeteria: Our
refreshments area offers wheelchair access. There is an area where
tables and chairs can be moved to accommodate prams and wheelchair
